That sweet smell of fuel... wait a second.

So as you may or may not be aware, these Subarus are quite susceptible to having their fuel lines get cracks in the winter cold, and it has been particularly cold here in the Chicagoland area lately. The smell is definitely coming to the driver's side bank of Injectors and pictured is the only seemingly wet spot I could find with a quick inspection. Sweet.

Winter is Coming

This isn't an ad for Game of Thrones, which coincidentally starts back up near the beginning of the racing season. This is just an observation of fact(s). It's starting to get colder here in Chicago (more precisely Schaumburg) and it's not going to be getting any warmer anytime soon. I'm not looking forward to it, but I knew it was coming. I am actually hoping to get a daily in the form of some type of gas friendly Honda, but that is down the road.

***Tire Roll-Over Sound***

In a nutshell that was my day -- that and the sound of knocking over a few cones while I went. I woke up to the sound of light rain (it was forecasted as a 90% chance of precipitation) and it didn't let up; if anything it only got worse. I had the thought to roll-over and go back to bed, and I should have done just that. I already paid for entry, and thought it would be a waste not to go. I would have had video for you at the least of me spinning out or something fun, but my GoPro was acting up yesterday as well. Above all the other issues I was having I didn't even want to start diddling with my camera (probably just the setting between wifi remote and wifi on smartphone).

TSSCC Event 4 (2013 Season) - Perhaps it wasn't a fluke

I managed to trophy again - Huzzah! So apparently the trophy I took home in event 2 wasn't just a fluke. I took the last (of 5) trophy spots for All Wheel Drive Street Tire of a total of 14 competitors. Currently in the Championship Standings I am 7th of 48. Granted quite a few of those folks only have a couple events under their belt for the class but regardless I am happy to be trophy-ing in my second year of Autocrossing. I'm hoping next year I'll be able to do some SoloI events and perhaps some PDX/HPDEs. Who knows?
